pizza: We want to make homemade pizza sauce and wondered what are the best tomatoes to use. We don't want to use canned tomatoes. We've used Romas for spaghetti sauce but don't know what type would be best for the pizza sauce.|||People tend to use roma tomatoes because they are meaty. They are great for salsa, but if you are making a smooth sauce, it won't make a difference what tomato you use. Good luck!
